a digital communications and creative content specialist with 9 years of experience in social media and public relations. I tell stories through any medium necessary, with a strategic approach and an eye for photography and design. I have worked in both corporate and agency settings, with a range of B2C and B2B clients, including food and beverage, fashion, lifestyle, entertainment, and energy.
From a young age, I was drawn to books and often wondered about who was creating the beautiful layouts in the magazines I’d spend my weekends flipping through. With my imagination, a Windows 95 Dell desktop computer, and CD-ROM software for Microsoft Kids Creative Writer, I was armed with the tools to tell any stories there were to be told; I was quick to create a homemade newsletter for my elementary school classmates that I handed out in the hallways. Fast forward to my formative years at Baylor University, I joined the school newspaper as a photojournalist, where I was capturing stories every day and diligently learned how to use the manual function of a DSLR camera. After graduating from Baylor with a bachelor’s degree in journalism at a time when journalism was being turned on its head, I continued my education through various PR internships, agency work and graduate studies in the business of design at Parsons The New School of Design.
